Nursing Liaisons – Per Diem Nursing, the wave of the future

Nurses are a vital part of the health care experience. It is no secret that nurses are leaving their jobs and the profession. Providing positive options for RNs to practice is essential. 

Nursing Liaisons employes Registered Nurses in a variety of capacities in a per diem role. Registered Nurses in 2023 want meaningful work, flexibility, and good compensation. We have found that nurses who take on per diem positions open themselves up to another avenue of opportunity to explore and experience various positions within the healthcare field. This unique arrangement allows them to diversify their skill set, expand their horizons, and contribute to their professional growth in several ways. 

Research has shown that nurses are seeking a work life balance that is vital for their physical and mental health.  There are benefits both professionally and personally that we have seen by the RNs working for Nursing Liaisons for the Home Hospital Model of Care. 

  1. By working per diem shifts, nurses can choose to work in anther clinical settings. They can see if the opportunity is a fit for them. Hospital at Home is a new opportunity for RNs to experience. This allows nurses to gain a deeper understanding of the different healthcare environments and the specific challenges and protocols they entail.

We at Nursing Liaisons encourage our RNs to grow and try out new endeavors. As long-term experienced staff nurses, we have the knowledge and experience to relate to what nurses are looking for. We build relationships with our nurses and converse with them on a routine basis.
