| November Newsletter Dear Friends and Colleagues, Apologies for our delay in this month’s newsletter! We’ve been busier than ever — and thrilled about it. We were fortunate to have recently attended the HLTH Conference, an incredible experience that gave us a front-row seat to how rapidly healthcare is changing. To be honest, amid Fortune 500’s and hipster tech-heads, we weren’t sure if we belonged at first, but we quickly found our footing and learned a ton. The most pervasive topic was the adoption of AI sweeping across healthcare. While we heard many innovative ideas and applications in this arena, one thing became clear: you can’t take the nurse out of the equation when applying AI. Human compassion and clinical judgment remain irreplaceable. The conference was not only educational but also a lot of fun! We had the chance to hear Mark Cuban speak about the cost of pharmaceuticals in the U.S.—he did a fantastic job explaining complex topics in simple, relatable terms (and yes, Ellie admits she has a bit of a crush on him!). Speaking of crushes, Rob Lowe was also there, and we must say, he looks just as good in person as he does on TV. Some people truly seem to defy aging! Outside of sessions, we managed to squeeze in a little recreation — a bit of gambling and a spectacular showing of The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere. We came home tired but also recharged, full of new ideas and inspiration for how to keep both human compassion and clinical expertise top of mind and at every bedside. ________________________________________ Recognizing Caregivers – November is National Caregivers Month On a more serious note, November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize the incredible work caregivers provide — both emotionally and physically. -About 1 in 4 adults in the U.S. care for a family member or friend. -The majority of caregivers are women, with a median age of 50. -The average caregiving duration is roughly four years. -Approximately 39.8 million caregivers assist adults with disabilities or illnesses. -Altogether, there are an estimated 63 million caregivers—paid and unpaid—across the U.S. Let’s Give a Standing Ovation for This New Practical Tool! ![]() At HLTH, one product we absolutely fell in love with was the SitNStand Compact – a lightweight (6.6 lbs), easy-to-use mobility aid that helps lift you out of your seat! It supports up to 400 lbs, runs on a rechargeable battery (no cords!), and comes with a two-year warranty. It’s ideal for use in restaurants, theaters, sporting events, travel, and more. We’re so excited about this device that we’re becoming independent representatives for SitnStand; reach out to us directly to learn more and receive a special offer! _______________________________________ As always, we appreciate you reading our newsletter and sharing it with friends, family, or anyone who might enjoy it. Wishing everyone a warm, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving! With gratitude, Lisa & Ellie |
