The primary reasons for using Nursing Liaisons are: Proper medical support and Convenience.
We are medical professionals and help you with your medical needs related to transitioning to and from medical appointments. We can transport you, explain your post-procedure directions, and attend to your medical conditions.
We offer convenience for you and for families of those transitioning from medical appointments. Family members and friends would not need to take the time off to attend to routine medical transport needs of their loved ones. And most family members and friends would not have the experience and expertise required to attend to their loved one adequately.

How much do your services cost?
Patients and families will find our costs very reasonable when compared to their own expense and cost for time away from their primary responsibilities required for supporting the needs of their loved one.
For Appointment Care – accompanying a patient to a MD. appointment, interacting with physicians concerning medical directions, creating notes to provide clear instructions, reporting back to family: $85.00/ hour.
For Pre- and Post-Procedure Transportation Care – picking up a patient after a procedure, driving them home, going over the discharge instructions, stopping at the pharmacy if needed, follow-up phone calls after the procedure:
$85.00/ hour to $125.00/ hour depending on the advance notice, distance, and accessibility.
Post Surgery & Private Duty Respite Care – every case is personalized for your needs. Please contact us to discuss your needs and develop an action plan and cost estimate.
Does my insurance cover any of your services?
Currently our services are not covered by insurance. Patients with Flexible Spending Accounts may be able to use funds on those plans to cover our services. Check with your coverage plan to see if you are eligible.
Are you limited to the services that are listed?
No. We assess every opportunity uniquely. For instance, we have accompanied a patient to her daughters wedding who would not have been able to go without a Nursing Liaison R.N.
In another situation, a busy executive came to Boston for a convention and brought her mother with Alzheimer’s with her. We were able to safely give the mother a tour of Boston have her enjoy the city, while her daughter attended the convention worry-free!

What geographic area do you cover?
Our patient clients typically use Nursing Liaisons within the Greater Boston area. We are able to assist outside of that area too. Contact us to discuss your needs.
Do Nursing Liaisons administer required medications & injections, surgical wound site care, care of drains and dressings, or help with feeding tubes or other post-procedure requirements?
Nursing Liaisons is fully licensed and insured. We are very experienced in the care of post-op patients. With proper doctors orders we can administer medications directly, manage feeding tubes, repack and change dressings, assist with the management of drainage tubes, and other post-procedure needs as well. We will also communicate to the physician any concerns that you might have. We provide the medical services and peace of mind necessary to facilitate healing!
